Toyota Chatswood

Project Summary

SBA Architects was commissioned in 2009 by Toyota Motor Corporation Australia to design a state of the art retail car dealership to reflect the superior brand, quality and corporate image to the public domain. The project was completed in March 2013 and has proven a great success for Toyota.

An articulated geometry of angular roof projections that appear to glide over the transparent showroom volume provides a vibrant and interesting composition of building form. At night the internal lighting accentuates the sculptured steel column support system, establishing a visually striking and repetitive strong pattern of structure that is identified by passing motorists and pedestrians.
